Many times in life, being different is good. At Heritage International School in Muyenga, being different is no accident. Instead, the school makes every effort to impact the lives of its students not just educationally and socially, but also spiritually. Heritage provides a top-notch education for each of its students from preschool to grade twelve. Teachers from North America, Europe, and East Africa, all professionally trained and experienced, provide quality teaching in the classroom, where students from around the world receive individualized attention due to a low teacher to student ratio of 1:10. The school, which uses primarily an American curriculum, boasts a state-of-the-art computer lab, a fine library, a spacious playground, and a football pitch. Students receive instruction in music, art, computer, French, Swahili, PE, and swimming, in addition to the core curriculum subjects. To aid with transportation, H.I.S. provides a daily bus shuttle from specific points in the city. What Makes Heritage Different? But what makes Heritage different from other international schools? It is the attention that the school pays to the spiritual and moral issues that are so important to today's families. As a Christian school, Heritage is eager to present Biblical morals and values as an alternative to humanistic approaches to education. The school, which is open to students of all races and religions, teaches all subject matter from a Biblical perspective, believing that integrity and morality can make a difference in our society. Heritage International School has enjoyed steady growth throughout its existence. Since August 2001, we have occupied our new nine-acre campus in Muyenga, complete with modern, well-equipped facilities. The future is bright at Heritage. Caring Staff. Quality Education.
