Parent Teacher Fellowship

tweedle-383The Parent-Teacher Fellowship has been created in an effort to enhance unity between parents, teachers, and administration, to encourage and enable parental involvement in the life of the school, and to provide a direct means for parental participation on the Heritage School Board.

The purpose of the PTF is to support and nurture the mission, vision, leadership, and programs of Heritage by promoting and facilitating parental involvement in school activities. This Fellowship is voluntary and is open to parents of children currently attending the school and teachers and administrators currently employed by the school.

This body will elect a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, a Secretary, a Special Events co-ordinator, and Hospitality co-ordinators for a term of one year each. These elected officials form the PTF Executive Committee, which governs the fellowship.

The Fellowship also elects an at-large board member to a two-year term. The position is a non-voting position, and the member is expected to serve as a liaison between the PTF and the Heritage Board of Directors. The at-large board member is expected to meet with the PTF Executive Committee as well as attend the monthly board meetings.
